Alignment with SEBA (formerly CORD) Specifications

Central Office Re-architected as a Datacenter (CORD™) has evolved into SDN-enabled Broadband Access (SEBA). This initiative supports many virtualized access technologies at the edge of the carrier network, including Passive Optical Networks (PON). Decades of involvement with CORD and the open ecosystem have provided Radisys in-depth knowledge SEBA, enabling Radisys to be a premier systems integrator for SEBA. In addition to our systems integration, we have also developed white box GPON, XGSPON and CPON OLTs used with the ONF SEBA architecture.

Cloud and IP Services

Optimize Resources and Rapidly Deliver New Services

As cloud services increase in complexity, service providers need more than open compute networking and switching resources to support cloud services delivery. Service providers need aggregated real-time monitoring of physical and virtual components across multiple datacenters, for optimal resource utilization. Our pre-integrated, powerful management software solutions provide pools of compute and storage resources that can quickly scale to meet virtualized processing requirements.

Our turnkey solutions also enable service providers to rapidly deliver new IP services in a scalable, SDN and NFV-enabled network while reducing network complexity and Capex costs. Achieve advanced load balancing and service function chaining, high performance data plane processing and complex traffic distribution.

Case Study

Hardware Solutions Deployed at a Major Tier 1 US Carrier

The Challenge

The carrier was seeking an OCP based hardware platform to run an IoT text messaging application within its network with high scalability. The deployment needed to be accomplished within a few weeks and with year-end budget constraints.

The Solution

The carrier installed and turned up 600 nodes of a Mesos Container Infrastructure in two weeks and successfully ran the IoT application utilizing our data center hardware platform powered with Intel Xeon processors. Radisys enabled the carrier to significantly reduce time to market for their IoT-based microservices from several months to a few days. The deployment accelerated the carrier’s service revenue opportunities. Radisys continues to be a strategic partner, serving as the carrier’s extended DevOps team.
